The metal skid plate is new and custom-designed for Subaru Impreza, compatible with the following engine versions: essence. Vehicle manufactured between 2007 and 2016. It protects the underside of the vehicle and sensitive components against impacts, stones, mud, dirt and road irregularities. The skid plate protects the following components: engine, gearbox. The skid plate is made from steel sheet with a thickness of 2 mm. Includes screws, spacers and all accessories required for installation. All skid plates are powder coated for corrosion protection, providing greater resistance and durability. The skid plates feature welded reinforcements to improve resistance against external impacts. |

Steel sump guard for Subaru Impreza petrol
Plate was shipped with no protection in a cardboard box. It arrived undamaged. The instalation instructions are not very good. I had to align the plate to check where I could mount it. The openings in the plate did not fully align with the oil drain plug nor with the filter position. Oil drain plug hole is offset by approximately 5cm, as well as oil filter hole. Replacing the filter and oil will get quite some oil on the underside of the plate, which you have to remove to clean it. I also had an issue with the two small pieces, used to mount the plate to the front of the car, as the threads were to big for the provided screws. Also, the instructions are missing information where to use two of the screws. The quality of the plate is good, painted nicely. It took me approximately 1-1.5 hours to mount it. The instructions could be a bit more detailed. Not counting the minor issues I have with this plate, I'm quite happy with it, as it protects the engine. Oh, I mounted it on Subaru Impreza 2.0 R Sport 2011. Four stars because of the issues above and instructions being wierd.
